All The Different Kinds Of Bras...For Your Car? Yes, And Here Is What They Do!

Women walk into underwear and lingerie departments and are bombarded by hundreds of choices for brassieres. Auto detailers offer dozens of bra choices, too, except that these "bras" are for your cars, trucks, RVs, and buses! You might be surprised at all of the bra choices for vehicles and what these unusual structures do.

Front-End Bras

If you see a sports car or truck with a leather piece pulled tight over the front end, this is a front-end bra. They are used to protect the front end from getting scratched up, and they keep a lot of bugs from smashing into this part of the vehicle, which makes cleaning it a chore. They can also hold parts of the front end on in the event of an accident that knocks something loose.

Mirror Bras

Mirror bras protect the rearview mirrors on your doors. They are also a good option if you want to make the mirror frames black, but you do not want to make them permanently black or use "skins" (i.e. decals) to cover them. The bras stretch over the backs of each mirror perfectly, and you can remove them whenever you want (or when you decide to sell the vehicle and the buyer does not want the mirror bras).

Rear-Fender Bras

A lot of vehicle owners who invest in the front-end bras opt to purchase the rear fender bras as well. It keeps the vehicle looking more uniform to have both the front end and the rear fender looking the same. Sometimes people only want the rear-fender bra instead. Mix and match your car bras as you like.

"Full" Car Bras

This is a bit of a misnomer because these bras just cover the entire front end of the vehicle, the wheel wells, and a large portion of the hood of the car. They attach near the windshield and under the front fender, forming an inverted T-shape like a ladies' racerback bra. It dramatically reduces the amount of washing and detailing you have to do around these areas.

Full Car Clear Bras

This is one complete clear bra installation that covers the entire vehicle like a sheet of plastic wrap on your favorite sandwich. When it is installed, or rather applied, it is made to stick and cover all of the important panels on your vehicle from the front end and hood to the top, door panels, trunk panel, side panels, and rear. It is the most protection you can get from any one car bra, plus it is clear so that no one knows that your car is even "wearing" it.
